Characters: Alecto and Evan
Date and Time: Dec. 2, midnightish
Location: Slytherin common room
Situation: Alecto's reading, Evan wants to bother her
Rating: PG-13

Alecto sat on the couch in the Slytherin common room, with her legs outstrectched. She had picked up a dark arts book earlier that day from the restricted section in the library. Faking signatures was one thing Alecto was very good at. She had already taken off her robes and changed into more comfortable, normal clothes. Taking a deep breath, she rolled a little towards the fire. It's such a nice thing to have some alone time... Especially since it seem so exhausting to find someone to copy an essay from.

"AAAAAAAAAAGH!!!" A scream and a stream of curses was heard, the sound quickly moving down the stairs. A shirtless Evan dashed into the room and straight towards the fire, nearly ending up in it in the process.
"I... hate... high... ceilings! Good God, are they at all necessary!?" he asked himself with urgency as he rubbed his arms and shoulders for warmth, not even noticing that he wasn't alone.

Alecto's eyes widened as she saw Evan practically run into the fire. "What the hell is wrong with you? Are you trying to wake all of the Slytherin house?" She paused for a second, noticing that he dind't have a shirt on. "Why are you half naked?"

Snickering, Alecto shook her head... Perhaps she could get her camera...

"Hmm? Oh yes, it is a bit late..." He became more lucid as he became warmer, and remembered her next question.
"I'm shedding my old skin, if you must know." he smirked, knowing that would irritate her to no end, as usual.

She rolled her eyes, and proceeded to turn back to her book, making it obvious she didn't want him around - and that she was going to ignore him. Though, her eyes glanced up once, to look at him again... Bloody hell, no! She turned her eyes back to her book and read it very, very diligently.

He sat down with his back to the fire, quite comfortable now, knowing that Alecto wouldn't be able to ignore him if he got her mad enough. He looked up quickly when he saw a sudden motion.
"Did you make an obscene gesture of some sort at me, Alecto? I'm surprised you'd be so cowardly as to cease before I saw it."

"What?" she replied, looking up from her book, confused. "Oh... No, surprisingly, I didn't. If I made an obscene gesture at you, you would know it."

Her eyes lingered on his chest for a second, but she looked back down at her book quickly enough for it not to be noticed... hopefully.

"That's what I thought." Nodding, he pretended not to notice her eyes lingering for just a moment on his chest. Inwardly, he smiled. Just what I intended, he thought.
"Surprisingly, I didn't plan upon making such a grand entrance. I thought I heard Severus, and opened the door to ask him something, but in the process let all the cold air in the room. Alas, such is my fate..."
It was partially true, at least. He didn't plan to completely go insane at the feeling of cold air upon his skin, but he did plan to come down where he knew she was at least provocatively clothed. He wanted to see if his suspicions were correct: that she just puts on an act of hatred to disguise her attraction... And so far things were going well.

Alecto looked up again, an annoyed look on her face. "Why exactly are you still talking?" And I was just thinking about how it was nice to have some alone time... She glared at him for a moment more before, once again, turning her attention back to her book. She hadn't quite disguised the cover, but she supposed there was really no need. She did have "permission" to have the book.

This was interesting... the unforgiveables... They had only breifly mentioned those in class.

"Because, once again, I despise silence." He loved that excuse...
"There's really no need to be so hostile, darling; we're both Slytherins, of course."
Since she seemed so absolutely enthralled with that book (though he knew it was just a ploy not to have to make conversation--not that he thought she would anyway, of course...), he decided to walk out of his happy circle of warmth and look over her shoulder. As he arrived behind her seat and read the heading "Unforgiveables," he felt a chill. And not just because he wasn't near the fire anymore. Though he had been in Slytherin for over five years now, he had never been pressured or alienated because he wasn't obsessed with the Dark Arts like some of his classmates. Of course he was intrigued; what wizard wasn't? And he knew he had some sort of Dark tendencies because of his placement in this House. So he decided to grow a spine and started reading the chapter.

She turned and looked up at him. "Do I have have to keep asking you questions? Agh... Get away from me." Alecto scooted over to the other end of the couch and stretched out there instead. She was determined to keep away from him...

Wait... A smirk grew on Alecto's face. "I forgot my promise to you, my dear friend."

"Oh dear, you're attempting that 'promise' thing again? Really, Alecto-- Oh." As he began another taunt, he remembered her "promise," left on his journal. He turned and walked back to the fire, having read enough to satisfy his curiosity.
She was preparing to hex him, and in his rush to get to the warmth, he hadn't brought his wand. Though, maybe he could use that...
"I'm wandless. Would you still do it, Alecto? Would you still attack me, though I'm defenseless? Are you that merciless?" He smirked, teasing her, though knowing it was a bad idea, considering he really was defenseless. But he couldn't very well show his fear, now could he?

She laughed. "Yes, I gladly would," she replied, but I forgot my wand as well. "Though, since I'm feeling generous... and if you stop talking, I'll think about not hexing you. Or, save it for when I could publically humiliate you. I think that's fair." Alecto smiled at him, very fakely.

"Oh, of course," he drawled. "My favorite pastime is public foolishness.
"And you know perfectly well that I am incapable of not speaking to you, darling Alecto!" He decided to be perky now, knowing that would annoy her even more than simple conversation. "I simply must know what's going on inside that gorgeous but sinister head of yours! So spill it," he ended very sternly, hoping the sudden change of tone would earn him some sort of reaction.

"What?" she asked, confused and showing it slightly. Did he somehow know about her growing plans with Lucius concerning Regulus? Alecto hoped not. She wanted to keep those secret for the time being. It wasn't a good thing to be on the wrong side of a Black.

She laughed a little. "Trying to get something out of me, Rosier? That won't be happening anytime soon."

He was nearly startled, seeing her puzzled for a moment. That surprise was accompanied by a rush of satisfaction, though he had no idea as to what he did. He also couldn't resist a little innuendo, because he knew how it would bother her.
"Not necessarily out of you, darling..." He grinned devilishly.

"Go away, Rosier, or at least shut up," she replied, wishing she had her wand with her so she could hex him. Alecto turned her attention back to her book, hoping, yet again, it would make him shut up.

This perturbed him more than even he realized, until he started speaking and heard the tone of his own voice. "Do you realize how many times I've had that tactic used on me? It worked when I was eleven, but not now, and not with you!" He tried to disguise his surprise at hearing the biting harshness of his words.

Alecto looked up from her book and glared at him. "What is your problem? You're the one who keeps coming to me, even though you know I don't want you around. What kind of response do you want me to give you?" she snapped, her voice growing angier and more dangerous with each word. She stopped suddenly and took a deep breath, looking at him for a reply.

Calming down now, but not wanting to lose the battle, he bit back. "You make it sound as though I am a small child returning to the bosom of his mother. And, as you well know, I did not come to you tonight. I came down here for the fire. Now I don't want to leave because I know how much colder it will be on the trip back." The thought hit him that if what he just said was true, then he had no intentions of going back to his dorm room, but the thought also hit him that he hadn't planned on saying that much at all. Stupid bird makes me babble, he grumbled mentally.

"Well, if you don't want to be taken as a small child, quit acting like one!" She took another deep breath, then stood up. "Fine, if you won't leave, then I will." Alecto bent down and grabbed her book off the floor, where it had magically fallen when she had become angry.

In days and years to come, Evan would look back upon this day, wonder why he did what he did at that moment, and claim that he was possessed by something. But as he stood from his place by the fire and walked over to Alecto with an (unintentional and unrealized!) almost pleading look on his face, he thought of nothing. Nothing but the feel of his lips on hers as he kissed her, almost gently at first, awaiting her reaction, which he expected to be that hex she had "promised."

Alecto's eyes widened as she felt him kiss her, gently... It was completely random, at least to her. Unconsciously, she kissed him back and placed her hands on his shoulders. As with Evan, she too would claim she was possessed by some sort of... demon, perhaps. What else could possibly make her kiss Rosier?

His hands found her hips and seemed to.. meld with them. It felt right. Especially since she had accepted and returned the kiss. He began to pick up the pace slightly, adding more pressure and more emotion.
